Seraphin Gallery will have an ongoing group show for the summer of 2013, entitled, Dialogues and Correspondence. In addition to new works from Seraphin artists, we will be introducing new pieces from artists not yet seen at the gallery, including Sean Robert FitzGerald, Donald McPartland, and Elena Borstein.
Dialogues and Correspondence highlights an eclectic collection, for which the gallery has become well known. Lose yourself in the crisp, isolated mountainscapes of Phillip Adams or the abstract flowers of Rebecca Saylor Sack, which are portrayed in the delicate state between bloom and decay. Martha Mayer Erlebacher’s still lifes are so realistic, you may be tempted to reach out and take a piece of fruit right from the canvas.
Whether you find yourself in the midst of an imagined battle at the Great Wall of China from artist, Hiro Sakaguchi, or holding your breath underwater with Ken Mabrey’s mischievous mermaid, you are sure to be visually stimulated by this exhibition. While the works may appear to be different, there is a continuous dialogue between them. Be it a dynamic composition, a mastery of color, or a meticulous rendering, these works are metaphorically in conversation with one another.
