Michael Goldberg claims a special place in the Abstract Expressionist school. Like Grace Hartigan he is artistically kept alive by the struggle to grow through form, color and signature presence. Starting in the late forties with his abstract paintings, Goldberg followed through the decades with strong explosive works that are his trademark to this very day. His color sense is always strong; he never misses an opportunity to add another signature twist to his subject matter and palette.
