Cylkowski's radiant and eclectic paintings feel like sound.  Rhythmic vibes and a reflective surface quality lead the viewer into a world of candied abstraction.  Using automotive paint, the hues in Cylkowski's works are rich and fresh, appealing to our sense of illusion, mystery, and fantasy.  The layers within the artist's pieces are carefully placed to honor the fluidity of the brushstroke, as well as the manipulated quality of a highly saturated palette.  These compositions interrupt with movement, precise patterning, and vigorous energy, punctuating our experience into an explosive event.

Punctuation informs clarity, and transforms fragments into statements.  The separations that occur in Cylkowski's world between flat shape, gradated form, and the artist's brush, pull each painting into different dimensions of the picture plane-- inviting the viewer to investigate.  Through this plethora of visual stimulation, the line between fantasy and reality narrows, the gap between intensity and repetition bridges, and the discordance between push and pull, chaos and order, alike and unalike, harmonizes.
