Seraphin Gallery is a contemporary art gallery located in the heart of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. With over 45 years of art dealing experience, Seraphin Gallery specializes in the representation of vanguard contemporary art, as well as the placement of works in the secondary market, including that of the Abstract Expressionist, and the Pop Art movements. Currently, we represent numerous well-known contemporary painters, sculptors, and photographers, as well as several emerging artists nationwide. Our artists are featured in some of the foremost museums and galleries across the United States, including the Guggenheim, the Brooklyn Museum of Art, the Smithsonian, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
Director Anthony Seraphin has over 45 years of experience dealing with treasured objects. In 1976, he saved a collection of Thomas Eakins photographs and, proving their worth, convinced Sotheby's that photography is art. Sotheby's then had their first photography auction.
Over the years, the gallery has set records for works by artists such as Paul Klee, Larry Rivers, Andy Warhol, Grace Hartigan, Roberta Matta, John Chamberlain, Max Ernst, and Wassily Kandinsky. Seraphin also handles the works of other prominent twentieth century artists such as James Brooks, Louise Nevelson, Willem de Kooning, Sam Gilliam, and Sidney Goodman.

Director Anthony Seraphin
Director Anthony Seraphin will frequently take his clients to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. This journey, through all of the galleries of the museum, allows for a fruitful conversation about the art that is memorable-- accessing the core of their tastes and aesthetic sensibilities. This is one example of the unique service provided here, at Seraphin Gallery. We are also pleased to note that over the years Seraphin Gallery has had successful relationships with design firms, offering advice, selection, and appraisals.
