EZEKIAH BADLAM (1741-1815) was a Continental Army officer from Dorchester (MA) who served throughout much of the Revolutionary War. He served under Gen. Henry Knox and was involved in fortifying Dorchester Heights in 1776.
One page, 3 1/4 x 7 1/4 receipt, Dorchester, 22nd, Dorchester, 1779. “Received of Lieut Col. Ezekiah Badlam Seven Hundred Dollars to have the Expenses of a Public Wagon with four Horses from this place to Fishkill [Duchess County, New York].

Fishkill was a major Continental Army supply depot and hospital site during the Revolutionary War. Some correspondence from George Washington references Fishkill. In a March 9, 1779 letter to Maj. Gen. Israel Putnam, Washington instructs him to distribute supplies from Fishkill. [Founders Online Included]
