Autograph of Daniel Webster (1782-1852) American lawyer and politician, who served as U.S. congressman from New Hampshire (1813-1817), U.S. congressman from Massachusetts (1823-1827), U.S. Secretary of State (1841-1843), U.S. Senator from Massachusetts 1845-1850), and U.S. Secretary of State (1850-1852). Webster was also a famed lawyer who tried over 200 cases before the United States Supreme Court.
Autograph letter signed (ALS) on Aster House letterhead dated February 21, 1852 to James F. Brady Esq. confirming an appointment. Letter is accompanied by Free franked envelope that is also signed by Webster.
Letter measures 7.25” x 6” (sight), exhibits slight toning, some tears/splitting and exhibits strong signature. Envelope measures 2.5” x 4.5”, exhibits browning to edges and exhibits a strong signature. Both pieces housed in birds eye frame measuring 11.25” x 9.75”.

Daniel Webster was an American lawyer and statesman who represented New Hampshire and Massachusetts in the U.S. Congress and served as the 14th and 19th U.S. secretary of state under presidents William Henry Harrison, John Tyler, and Millard Fillmore. Wikipedia
