"The quote selected by Keller for her dedicatory inscription - "And this is Liberty - that one grow after the law of his own life, hindering not another" - is attributed to J. William Lloyd. It suggests that Keller had a strong Libertarian streak.A devastating childhood illness left Helen Keller blind and deaf at 19 months old. She met beloved teacher and lifelong companion Anne Mansfield Sullivan (1866-1936) at age 7. Keller eventually learned to read, write, and speak using various methods. She wrote, lectured, and toured around the world advocating for people with disabilities. This item comes with a Certificate from John Reznikoff, a premier authenticator for both major 3rd party authentication services, PSA and JSA (James Spence Authentications), as well as numerous auction houses.WE PROVIDE IN-HOUSE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE!
